An event dedicated to explaining the essence and significance of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 3, 2025, No. 207, “On comprehensive measures to effectively protect public health and the nation’s gene pool from drug addiction and drug-related crimes,” was held at the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Tashkent State Medical University with the participation of the Department of Hospital Therapy, Rheumatology and Occupational Pathology.
The event was opened by the Head of the Department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor D.A. Nabiyeva. Afterwards, Associate Professor E.R. Djuraeva and Senior Lecturer F.K. Ziyaeva read out the address of the Rector of Tashkent State Medical University to parents and students. The address emphasized the importance of protecting young people from harmful habits such as drug addiction, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and strengthening cooperation between families and educational institutions.
During the event, students were informed that the medical profession requires high responsibility, integrity, and adherence to a healthy lifestyle. At the end of the meeting, students shared their opinions on the address and highlighted that combating drug addiction is a shared responsibility of everyone.
